Challenge:
Create a Web presence transitioning
the client into the online insurance industry while leveraging
its current infrastructure and legacy systems. This included
creating a broad range of content and functionality centered
around their newly established brand position, integration
with existing legacy applications on the client's corporate
mainframe and supporting access and extended service through
the client's existing Customer Service Center.
Solution: Our
Staff managed aspects of the e-commerce initiative including
business analysis, marketing, creative, information architecture,
engineering and quality assurance. The site was targeted
at direct consumer sales as well as supporting an expansive
agent base. Consumers obtained real-time auto insurance
quotes along with the ability to purchase policies using
online. From a management perspective, the project team,
consisting of 30 full-time and part-time resources, met
all major milestones within 1-5 days of target and maintained
a budget variance of only 4% for the life of the project. |
